About the Presenter

Charles Eisenstein is the author of the critically acclaimed book The Yoga of Eating, published in 2003, and The Ascent of Humanity, released in March 2007. His first book was a Nautilus Award finalist and is on the curriculum of holistic health programs nationwide, including the Ph.D. program of the Clayton College of Natural Health. It has been translated into Russian and French. A devoted researcher into spiritual development and physical wellness, Charles is now focused on creating and leading transformational seminars around the country and internationally. Ask him a question about the seminar.

After graduating from Yale University with a degree in Mathematics & Philosophy in 1989, Charles spent the next ten years in Taiwan, where he became one of that country's leading English-Chinese translators and the editor of two magazines. It was in Taiwan that he began his lifelong study of world traditions of physical and spiritual development and healing. Returning to the United States in 1998, he spent several years as a stay-at-home dad and yoga teacher before launching his writing career in 2002. From 2002 to 2006 he taught at Penn State University in the Department of Science, Technology and Society. He currently resides in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
